Hello everyone and happy September! I have a fun colouring focused card to share with you today for the September instalment of the Inspiration Station Challenge.

The Inspiration Station Challenge: September

The Inspiration Station Challenge is a monthly challenge for all types of crafty projects. It starts the first Monday of each month and runs to the end of the month. Each month there is a new image to use for inspiration and it is a perfect way to jump start you creativity!

You can find all the details and link up your projects to play along on the Inspiration Station Challenge Blog!

How I made my card

I started by stamping this adorable dog onto some alcohol marker paper and then I masked it off so I couldstamp the background. After stamping the images I pulled out my Ohuhu markers and got to colouring.

I created a furry look on the dog by doing some flicking with the brush tips of my markers so that it looks like fur. For the trees, I coloured them in a mix of yellows, oranges, and greens taking inspiration from this month's challenge image. To create the leafy texture I did a stippling technique and overlapped the areas where the colours met to create a slightly more realistic effect.

After I was finished all the colouring, I cut down the cardfront to be 4" x 5 1/4" and adhered it to an A2 cardbase using foam tape. And that was it! All the colouring took me a while but I think it was totally worth it!

I hope you will join us for this month's challenge. I can't wait to see everyone's interpretation of this month's inspiration image and I'm sure I'm going to love seeing all your creations!
