Creating a New Home Congratulations Card

Hello everyone! I'm back to share the card I created for the May edition of the Inspiration Station Challenge.

May Inspiration Image

 My Project

At first I wasn't sure how to incorporate the inspiration image into my card so I did a fair bit of thinking before coming up with this design. I chose to be inspired by the architecture and trees in the inspiration photo so I incorporated both these elements into my card design. I thought the card would be perfect to give to someone celebrating a new home so I went with a nice and simple 'congratulations' sentiment to finish off the card.

The house image was stamped and coloured before I fussy cut it out. The tree was die cut out and coloured it to look like a fun flowering tree. I wasn't sure about combining stamped and die cut images together but I think it ended up still looking cohesive, I considered free handing an outline around the tree but decided against it because I like the no-line look.

After heat embossing the sentiment in white, I finished my card off with a few cream pearl embellishments scattered around my focal images.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my project for this month's challenge. Make sure to check out our challenge blog and link up your projects as well for a chance to win a prize!
