Cats and pumpkins for the October Inspiration Station Challenge

It's October! Who else is ready for fall?

Fall is my favourite season for crafting and this month's inspiration image doesn't disappoint.

My Project

I decided to go with an art journal page for this month's challenge, I love creating fall themed designs but I don't have much need for fall cards so I'm trying to not add too many to my stash.

I started by mapping out a square in the centre of my page to use as my scene and then I stamped a few trees. The deciduous tree was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black so I could colour it in using alcohol markers and I used a green ink for the evergreen trees.

I really love how the colours turned out on my fall tree and I took a picture of the markers I used so you can steal my marker combination if you love it too.

I finished the little scene by colouring the grass and sky with alcohol markers as well. Then I stamped, coloured and fussy cute the adorable kitty image so I could glue it to the scene. I finished by stamping the sentiment in the upper corner and colouring the leaves surrounding it.
