Hello everyone! I am so excited to be joining Altenew for their blog hop celebrating their new collaboration release with Sara S. of The Mint Gardner.
For my card today I used the Garden Bouquet stamp and die set. This is a beautiful large floral stamp set with lots of wonderful sentiments included. There are lots of ways to add colour to a beautiful image like this and I decided to use my Brusho powders for my card today.
I started by heat embossing the image onto some watercolour cardstock using gold embossing powder. Once the embossing powder was melted, I taped the cardstock down to a hard board so it wouldn't warp too much once I started adding water. I started by sprinkling small amounts of the Brusho powder onto the image. I applied pink and yellow powders over the flower areas and blue and green powders over the leaves. Once I had applied all the powders, I spayed the whole image with water to activate the powders. It is so fun to watch the colours come to life and mix together once the water is added!
After the image had dried, I used the coordinating die to cut it out. I arranged it onto a card panel which was cut to 4 x 5 1/4 and cut up the image so I could use it to cover the whole card panel. I popped the floral up with some thin foam tape to add a little bit of dimension.
For the sentiment, I heat embossed the 'Thank You' from the stamp set onto some black cardstock with white embossing powder and then die cut it out. I added the sentiment to the centre of the card and finished with some gold pearls for embellishment!
I hope you have enjoyed seeing my card! You can hop on to Mindy Eggen's blog to continue the blog hop!
