Strawberry Birthday Cake card

 

Hello everyone! Welcome to the June instalment of the Inspiration Station Challenge. This month’s image is so lovely and I had a wonderful time creating a card for the challenge.

Isn't this such a yummy inspiration picture? I decided to go with the strawberry theme but add a twist because I have this adorable stamp of a badger icing a strawberry cake and I though it would be perfect for this challenge. I kept the card simple because I wanted the image to stand out. 

Making my card 

I just stamped and coloured the image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and my Ohuhu alcohol markers. Then I did some soft ink blending using a light pink ink on my cardbase so that there was a little bit of a background for my image. I fussy cut out the badger image and popped her up using some foam tape. To finish I used a simple 'Happy Birthday' stamp for the sentiment. It was a super quick card to make but I often feel like those card designs are my favourite!
